Sponsor Letters

Sponsors are more than welcome to write a letter to their child.  These letters are translated into Spanish and hand-delivered to each child along with a gift, which is usually food.  In most cases, letters are read out loud to the children.

Mother and son with their letter.  Notice the mandarine orange in the boys hand...each family was happy to receive their visitors.  They were invited into the homes and given gifts of fruit and juice.  It might not seem like much, but these families have so little and yet were willing to give what little they had to their guests.
